Figure skater Ruby, heiress to a New York fortune, hides her identity to marry self-made entrepreneur James out of love. Her talent quickly earns her a spot on the national team and world champion buzz. But on the eve of nationals, she is kidnapped and her legs severely injured, ending her career.
